"Southport Home Hardware"
The APM Group announced today the purchase of Southport
Home Centre, the largest Home Hardware Dealer on Prince
Edward Island, and one of the "Top 10" of 950 Home Hardware
Dealers Canada-wide.
Southport Home Hardware has operated in the community of
Stratford for 49 years and "we are committed to growing for
at least another 49 years thanks to the continued support of
Joe Corcoran and his existing staff of 45 dedicated "Home"
employees whom we welcome to the APM team", stated Tim
Banks, President of the APM Group.
"We are very excited about investing in Stratford as we see
it as an inviting and prosperous community with future
growth potential. Southport Home Hardware’s central
location, coupled with its solid reputation for customer
service and competitive pricing, was instrumental in our
decision to invest."
Mr. Banks said, "I am personally quite honoured and humbled
to be able to join the Island network of Home Hardware
Dealers who I look up to as the leaders in our Island
Community and I look forward to working with them."
"APM is not in the contracting business on Prince Edward
Island. With the acquisition of House of Excellence a few
years ago, and now with the addition of Southport Home
Hardware, APM is looking to expand its strong network of
customers who are local contractors and sub-contractors who
can assist us in executing Island construction and
development projects" stated Mr. Banks
The integration of Southport Home Hardware continues to
fulfill the mission of the APM Group to offer a complete
package of services for property development. The APM Group
is a vertically integrated retail development company
offering property development, design, project management,
building supplies, store fixtures, ornamental metals,
signage, retail decor and leasing.
"Everything at Southport Home Centre is business as usual
and Saturday marks another annual yard sale. We invite
everyone to come and visit with our excellent staff, and
don’t forget to pick up a few bargains" said Mr. Banks. |
